HFR – FBM
Functional Body Mobilisation
Segmental movement that reorganises the whole body.
Functional Body Mobilisation (FBM) is a workshop designed for movement teachers and trainers who want to work with the body precisely, functionally and consciously, understanding how local movement in key joints influences the global organisation of the body.
FBM is based on segmental mobilisation of movement — guided through the most important joints and along long axes and fascial chains. This approach supports the restoration of fluidity, elasticity and coordination of the whole body through well-directed, intelligent movement, rather than mechanical correction.
Why is FBM different from conventional approaches to movement?
FBM does not focus on teaching fixed movement patterns or correcting "faulty technique". It assumes that the quality of global movement emerges from how individual body segments are able to move and cooperate with one another.
FBM demonstrates how to:
- mobilise movement segment by segment in key joints,
- connect local mobility with global force transmission,
- work along long movement axes and fascial chains,
- restore elasticity and continuity of movement instead of isolating structures,
- allow the body to reorganise itself through movement rather than positional correction.
This approach develops functional movement capacity, not its external appearance.
What will you learn during the workshop?
The workshop is 100% practical, based on movement experience and direct observation of its effects within the body.
Who is this workshop for?
movement teachers (yoga, pilates, movement, dance)
personal trainers and strength & conditioning coaches
bodywork and movement instructors
somatic educators
professionals leading individual and group sessions
If you feel that:
- conventional exercises no longer translate into meaningful movement change,
- people "have range" but cannot use it functionally,
- technical corrections are becoming less effective,
FBM offers a different set of tools for working with movement.
How does FBM change your work as a teacher or trainer?
After the workshop:
you better understand where movement restrictions originate,
you guide movement from the segment to the whole, not the other way around,
your sessions become more coherent and logically structured,
participants experience improvements in movement fluidity and comfort more quickly,
your work becomes less physically demanding and more precise.
The philosophy of FBM
Functional Body Mobilisation is not about "teaching correct movement". It is about restoring the body's capacity for segmental movement and integration into a functional whole.
Movement becomes a means of communication with the fascial system. You — as a teacher or trainer — do not impose a pattern, but guide a process of reorganisation through movement.
