This training is not just about 'releasing' tension. You will learn how to restore the jaw's natural range of motion, coordination, and efficiency so that tension no longer needs to serve a compensatory role, and the joint can return to balanced function.
In FJM, the key is understanding the TMJ as a dynamic adaptive system: instead of forcefully 'correcting' the joint, you create conditions in which the tissues and the movement system can make the change themselves. This makes the work safer, more predictable, and less physically demanding for the therapist.
